If there's one thing Nintendo can crow about, it's the rate at which their Wii system sells out every time a new shipment lands on store shelves anywhere. There are some concerns that it's more of an issue with Nintendo's manufacturing than purely retail demand, but that won't stop Nintendo hyping
just how hard to find their machine is.
"There is no guarantee that we are not going to have 'out-of-stocks' this holiday season," says George Harrison, senior V.P of marketing for Nintendo of America. "If you see one, buy it. Don't assume that you can come back later and find one."
